Women from all corners of the globe are invited to join us at the Women’s Moto Summit in British Columbia this September. From Friday, September 1st, to Sunday September 3rd, women motorcyclists and all our queer, gender non-conforming and trans friends are welcome for a moto event like none other.

Women’s Moto Summit will focus on wellness and connection and is set against the breathtaking landscape of Squamish Valley. Nestled beside the Cheakamus River, attendees will camp at Cheekye Ranch, with options to upgrade to a canvas tent or yurt. Rescued horses will be your neighbors for the weekend on the ranch.

A passion project for Litas Global Community Director Kim Okabe, this weekend getaway has been on her mind and heart for quite some time. “Riding may have brought us together, but I wanted to create a space where we are meant to connect.  A weekend where we laugh until our cheeks hurt, shed some happy tears in a beautiful moment, and leave feeling replenished with a phone book full of new friends.

“At the end of the day, life is about the little moments. It’s about the new people you meet in a place you’ve never been, and how incredible it feels to identify with a complete stranger. Life is about trying new things and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.”
— Kim Okabe, The Litas Global Community Director

What sets Women’s Moto Summit apart:

This small, well-curated event offers several options to upgrade to a furnished canvas tent or yurt, as available.  Riders are encouraged to take the long way in and explore on your way out, but get comfy with us on site for the weekend.  We're all about networking and supporting local artists, businesses, and facilitators.

Planned Activities:

In the morning, there will be fresh coffee and breakfast burritos provided by Lil Chef Bistro.  A variety of food trucks will be on site from 11am-11pm.  Yoga & Pilates classes are optional and will start around 9am.

Afternoons will be spent playing old school games, including potato sack race, flip cup, red rover, tortilla slap, and balloon dance off.  You can also opt for one of the many upgraded experiences we will have available, including 50 minute RMT massage sessions, Sauna session, Fly Fishing (Casting) Lessons, Dirt Bike Excursions, & Horseback Riding.

Later in the day, there will be yin classes, meditation and sound bath therapy at sundown before the fire pits are lit,  then we will take the night away with live acoustic music.

The location:

The Sea to Sky Highway, also known as Highway 99, is one of the most beautiful routes this side of British Columbia. From Vancouver to Squamish, you’ll ride along the side of Howe Sound, an ocean fjord, as you wind up this scenic road.

When you arrive, the Women’s Moto Summit will be found on the back side of the property and you will ride 5km/hr through an open ranch.  We share the property with Second Chance Cheekye Ranch, who rehabilitates and homes horses in need.  Since 2016, they have rescued 202 horses that were meant for slaughter.  Ride slow and take these beautiful animals all in.

Your ticket includes camping (BYO), or you can upgrade to luxury accommodations in a canvas tent or yurt.

Main goals:

I hope that women come to this and feel loved.  I hope that they know how much thought was put in and that makes them lean in a little more than expected.  I want guests to leave having done something they’ve never tried, surrounded by supportive women they’ve just met and feeling like they can take on anything.

Optional canvas tent upgrade.

FAQs:

Where and when is the summit?

WMS is located in Cheekeye, Squamish, BC, Canada and takes place from Sept 1st - 3rd, 2023.

Do I have to ride a motorcycle to attend the event? / If I have a girlfriend that drives, can she still come?

Absolutely.  There is a lower lot where all the vehicles will be parked, including motorcycles.  Whether you are a rider, interested in learning to ride, or envious (but terrified) of motorcycles, that's OK.  You’re all welcome.

September 4th is a long weekend, any reason why you didn’t extend it until Monday?

To encourage riders to take advantage of the long holiday weekend (September 4th), the event ends on Sunday, September 3rd. We recommend riding from Squamish up to Whistler to do the Lillooet loop, or just take the long way back. We are in such a gorgeous area, it would be a shame not to explore it.  It’s also nice to be able to return from a camping trip and have a day to regroup and get ready for the week.

How can I purchase tickets and get more information?

Tickets and all event information are available at www.womensmotosummit.com Early Bird Rates are posted now, but won’t last long! Prices are in $CAD
