Rebels with a Cause Motorcycle Tour

Rebels with a Cause:

Humanitarian moto tour

Ready to be inspired? Rebels with a Cause is a humanitarian motorcycle tour created by Pakistani native & one of our fellow Litas, Kiki, in her homeland of Pakistan. This year, it takes place May 29th through June 9th. Read on to learn more about the mission and how to get involved.

The rebels:

RWAC is an alliance of advocates on two wheels that raise awareness & support diverse missions. They impact the lives of those less fortunate, whether affected by physical disabilities, domestic abuse, illiteracy, socio-economic hardships or even ecological disasters. The mission brings hope, raises awareness one mile at a time, and changes our Rebel Riders perspective on that part of the world— one smile at a time.

“To be able to see, touch, and palpably feel the difference Rebels with a Cause has on every single person we come into contact with is so special.”

2023 tour dates are May 29th through June 9th.

THE MISSION:

Media has made it so that places like Pakistan don’t exactly make it on people's travel destinations “bucket list”. RWAC urges riders out of their comfort zones, pushing them to experience and explore a place they would never have thought of adventuring to before. It not only sheds light on a country with negative rhetoric attributed to it, but it also promotes local businesses and companies whose aim is to see Pakistan flourish.

This tour is more than a window into the rich culture, history, heritage and traditions of Pakistan and its people– it’s a chance to immerse yourselves beyond being a “tourist”. It’s an exchange. The window works both ways, and riders see full circle the weight they have in creating a meaningful impact. The rippling effects are very real. Alone, we can only do so much, but with the force of community, the rewards are life-altering, and you see it first hand.

Come with me this May– You will be forever changed.

THE PURPOSE:

One of the many reasons this project was created was to honor the memory of my best friend and fellow motorcyclist Caylee Hankins, who tragically left us in 2020. Her nickname was “Lil Rebel”;  we promised each other that we would ride together in my home country of Pakistan.

For the loving human, amazing photographer, free-spirited, kind hearted creative that she was, the best thing I could do to make her memory live on was to combine everything we both love: riding motorcycles, helping those in need, and exploring the world, documenting it all.

To be able to see, touch, and palpably feel the difference Rebels with a Cause has on every single person we come into contact with is so special. We pride ourselves with working with a local tour company, A Different Agenda, who share our vision of showcasing Pakistan's beauty and changing outsider perspective on this part of the world. In turn, Rebels with a Cause creates opportunities by stimulating the economy and creating jobs for locals.

Isn’t that what we’re here for? To empower and fuel each other up, to push past boundaries made to suppress us from thriving.

THe Heart:

Imagine how powerful you feel every time you fire up your engine. It’s so second nature, much like a given right to many of us these days, especially living in the West. Now imagine you’re riding motorbikes in a country where it’s so unconventional– inconceivable even– to see a woman straddling a bike. The necks we broke, oh the necks we broke!

What I love most is watching the awe and disbelief in peoples faces as we zoom by, especially on little girls and women. This past year we had 7 lady riders, and when the locals were exposed to such strong, independent, fearless women, all the walls built by society to suppress them started to crumble. To see one of their own amongst the group made the whole difference; they see themselves in me.

These moments are key in showing girls that anything is possible and that their gender shouldn’t be a hindrance. Isn’t that what we’re here for? To empower and fuel each other up, to push past boundaries made to suppress us from thriving. While for many of us, this may be our normal day to day– but these glimpses into our world become catalysts to encourage girls in Pakistan to make their own dreams come true. I can’t wait to go back and teach some of them to ride!

Come with me this May– there’s still time to sign up. You will be forever changed.

2023 tour dates are May 29th through June 9th.
