10 YEARS OF THE LITAS
Founded in 2015 by Jessica Haggett in Salt Lake City, Utah, The Litas Global Womxn’s Motorcycle Collective unites womxn worldwide who break barriers and build sisterhood on and off the road. As we celebrate ten years of riding together, Jess reflects on a decade of community, camaraderie, and collective impact.

Ten years. Wild.
When I first started The Litas,I honestly just wanted some friends to ride with.
Motorcycling felt like this boys’ club, and I was craving community, sisterhood, people who got it. I figured maybe a handful of women would show up, and we’d go ride. That was it. I never thought it would turn into what it is today.

That first ride lit a spark I couldn’t have imagined. Suddenly women I’d never met were reaching out from all over, saying they wanted the same thing. Branches started popping up in cities I’d never even been to. And here we are now, 10 years later — 30,000 members, 33 countries, 340 cities. Crazy.
But honestly, the numbers aren’t the thing that blows me away. It’s the stories. The friendships. The confidence women have found here. I’ve seen people buy their first bike because they finally felt like they belonged. I’ve seen women who didn’t think they could do it, now leading rides and running branches. I’ve seen lifelong friendships, soul sisters, and even chosen families built through The Litas.
Riding brought us together, but what’s kept us here is so much bigger — it’s the connection. The support. The reminder that you’re not alone out there.

Looking back, it hasn’t always been easy. Building something like this never is. But it’s been worth every bit of effort. The Litas has changed my life, and I know it’s changed so many of yours too.
So here’s to ten years. To every mile, every meetup, every late-night conversation, and every new rider who showed up nervous but left with a smile.
Here we are now, 10 years later —
30,000 members, 33 countries, 340 cities.
The Litas is all of us, and this is just the beginning.
