Meet The Litas ÖREBRO

The small Swedish town of Örebro is surrounded by gorgeous lakes, national parks, and lush forests and boasts a 14th century castle. Perfectly situated between Stockholm and Gotheburgh, the town is blessed with beautiful roads to ride, making it ideal for motorcyclists when the weather is fair.

The Litas Örebro have big plans for The Litas in Sweden this year, as three new founders have stepped up to plan road trips and camping meetups for their members and surrounding branches. Read on to learn more about the adventurous women of Örebro!

Who are your branch founders?

Cissi, Patricia, and Emma:

Cissi is adventurous and lives her life to the fullest, tackling every challenge with foresight and diligence. A 43 year old Skin Therapist and mother of 3, she loves to motivate others. Before she entered into skincare, she was in the railway industry as an Operative manager. She started her motorcycle journey on a Honda CB 750, then later moved up to a Harley Davidson Softtail Slim S.

Patricia loves riding twisty roads on her H-D Street Bob and is always full of laughs. A 36 year old process technician, Patricia loves to spend her free time in nature, camping on the bike, or in the kitchen with her family.

Emma also rides a Street Bob and dreams of building a chopper in the future. She is 25, has a Maine Coon Cat named Mad Max, and loves to work with her hands– whether that means welding a sissy bar or knitting for her nieces and nephews. Emma previously worked as a carpenter and is currently studying to become an engineer.

What brought the founders together?

As previous members in the Litas Örebro, we three took over from previous branch founders. Our riding styles and personalities perfectly compliment the others, making us a great team.

What does a day riding with The Litas Örebo typically look like?

Our focus is to match all the needs and skills for the girls riding, so everyone feels included. We love long rides with a variety of roads and speeds, but we also enjoy shorter rides that include ice cream and cool dip in a lake. And of course, each ride involves a lot of laughter and good conversation.

What has been your greatest success as a branch?

We have worked very hard spending quality time together, and we try to listen to our members' wants and wishes, both in season and off season. We have created a community where we respect each other and are accepting of one another. We listen to each other to build solid relationships. Our greatest success is that everyone loves to ride with us!

What are some challenges you face living and riding in Örebro?

We often meet at Saluhallen in the City Örebro. It offers several different restaurants with ample space for everyone to sit together to chat and dine.
One of our favorite places to ride takes us through the forest and leads to an ice cream shop in Hjortkvarn.

Road 214 to Odensbacken, where the roads run along Lake Hjälmaren, offers beautiful vistas and plenty of places to stop for magical pictures.

We also recommend 3 Lakes Road and visiting during the Örebro International Food Festival and Food Truck Festival.

“We have created a community where we respect each other and are accepting of one another.

Anything else you would like to share?

The current founders have recently taken over from the 3 past founders in Örebro.
This year, we have made plans for a weeklong ride to Norway. Norway is famous for their beautiful roads and fjords.
We are also planning a weekend in Dalarnas County, at a lake called Siljan, where we will camp in tents and cabins. We have invited The Litas in Gävle and Malmö to join us. It would be nice to create a yearly get-together for all the branches in Sweden. In the future, perhaps branches in other Nordic countries will join us! The Litas Örebro have big plans for The Litas Sweden!
