Meet The Litas Fargo

Welcome to Fargo, North Dakota, where the open sky seems to stretch forever, and the wide, flat plains give way to golden fields and endless horizons.

There's something special about cruising along long stretches of highway with the wind at your back, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the prairie. The city itself blends small-town charm with a vibrant downtown full of local art, music, and food. For The Litas Fargo, this landscape provides the ultimate canvas for adventure and camaraderie.

Founded just this year, the Fargo branch of The Litas has grown quickly and has quite a unique story of how it all began. Read on as we chat with the founders and learn about the badass babes of this Midwestern town.

Who are your branch founders?

Heather, Nikki, and Jenna:

Heather Joslin rides a 2023 Indian Scout Rogue and a 2004 Harley Davidson V-Rod. She grew up riding on the back of her dad's Harley, the same one that she owns today! Her journey into motorcycling began in 2022, and from the first ride, she was hooked. Motorcycles became her passion, fueling her love for adventure and adrenaline. Working in the powersports industry, she lives and breathes this world every day.

Nikki Borchardt rides a 2012 Harley Davidson Softtail Slim. Her riding journey began when she was little when her uncle started giving her rides to Dairy Queen on his motorcycle; later, her dad got a Harley and she started riding with him. She got her license in 2017 but didn’t buy her first motorcycle until 2019– a 2008 Harley Sportster 1200 Nightster. Unfortunately, it was stolen in May 2023, but the new upgrade is exactly what she needed and made her love riding even more! Nikki bought her new Harley with her dad present; he has since passed away, making the Softtail even more special. The gremlin bell attached to it has her father’s ashes, so he will always be riding with her.

Jenna Johnson rides an Indian Scout. Her riding journey began in 2015 with dirt bikes, and by 2019, she had embraced the world of street motorcycles. She enjoys balancing her love for riding with her passion for music. When she’s not out riding, you can usually find her at a concert or music festival.

What brought the founders together?

Co-founder Jenna was the winner of the Hell Babes Indian Scout Rogue Sixty giveaway! After Jessica Wise flew out to Fargo to surprise Jenna with the bike, we met up at Drekker Brewing Company and Jessica brought up the idea of starting a Litas branch in Fargo… and we RAN with it! Jenna won the bike in January of this year, and by March, our Litas Fargo branch was live on the map.

How long has The Litas Fargo been together?

The Litas Fargo branch was founded this year, 2024! Thus, we have only been riding together for six months, but it has been the best six months of our lives. The Litas Fargo has been very well received in our community, and within six months, our Collective has grown to over sixty members, many of which regularly attend our rides and meetups. Our Litas have become our family, whom we never would have met if we hadn't started this branch.

“We’re all about sticking together, growing as a collective, and strengthening our friendships as we ride through life’s crazy adventures.”

What does a day riding with The Litas Fargo typically look like?

From the moment you meet us, you’re part of the crew—no questions asked. We’ve become a tight-knit little family, and you can feel that connection right away. There's this unspoken bond, a vibe that says, “we’ve got your back, no matter what.” We’re all about sticking together, growing as a collective, and strengthening our friendships as we ride through life’s crazy adventures.

Expect a lot of laughs, some wild stories, and the kind of personalities that light up a room (or the open road). Each ride feels like a reunion, and every new face quickly becomes part of the ride or die spirit that defines The Litas Fargo.

Top recommendations for Litas coming to Fargo, ND:

One of our favorite places to ride is out to lakes country in Minnesota, our top suggestion is hunting the trolls in Detroit Lakes, MN (Literally - giant trolls!

Best places to eat? Girl, we've got a few! Hooligan's in West Fargo is amazing, and they host weekly bike nights on Wednesdays during the summer (Plus, they are women owned!). We also adore Dakota Vines Winery and their beautiful vineyards, and Swing Barrel Brewing Company with their great brews and good times!

If you're looking for something to see, shop, eat, and drink all in one - Drekker Brewing Company is where it's at. Drekker is a viking themed brewery that has some of the best sour beers on earth. While you're enjoying your beer, you can walk over to Brewhalla and enjoy food at Unicorn Park, check out local crafts at Unglued, and pick up a toy for your best friend at Barkin' Biscuits! (Did we mention there is gelato there too?)
