Babes Ride Out 7: Central Coast

The 7th Annual Babes Ride Out was filled with good times, good friends, and of course, two wheels; this year in a new location, the Central Coast of California.
As 1,500 ladies made their way to BRO, we met up with some friends in Long Beach and took the long way to Babes. First heading north on the Pacific Coast Highway, making our way to Ventura, then onto Highway 33 for some twisties.
We set up camp for the night at Scheideck Lodge. It’s pretty far off the beaten path; picture you’re typical camp ground in the middle of nowhere, and next to it, a run down bar with good food, drinks, and a pool table. We were the only campers that night, so we had the place to ourselves.
As we rolled into Babes Ride Out 7 there was an overwhelming number of badass women on bikes ready for a wild weekend. We saw many familiar faces, and even more babes wearing the skull + roses, fellow Litas from around the world. We cracked a claw and started setting up camp.
After the first night we all woke up with hangovers and popped sleeping pads. I think if we would set up a booth selling patches we would have made a killing that morning. Besides waking up 2-3 times that night to re-inflate our sleeping pads and warm our frozen toes, we were “rested” and ready for day II.
We hit the road for bit and made our way to the Pozo saloon for some grub.
We spent most of the day catching up with old friends and making new ones. As the sun started to set, we headed back to camp for some bike games with Harley-Davidson, and some jams from Twisted Gypsy.
As the weekend came to an end, we were ready to hit the road. See you next year ladies!
